My 30 Before 30 List

6 years ago I had the idea to create a blog to document the 25 things I wanted to accomplish before turning 25. So Life of Hayley was born! I turned 26 on Saturday and  now it’s time to create my 30 before 30 list. Honestly so much changed in 5 years but it’s pretty cool to look back on what I thought would be important 5 years ago.

  2. Go on a road trip
  3. Start investing
  4. Pay off my car
  5. Create a workout routine
  6. Spend a whole day binge-watching a TV show
  7. Try to have a baby (maybe?)
  8. Go on a trip with my family
  9. Have a spa day
  10. Learn a new hobby
  11. Travel to a new country
  12. Work on making our marriage stronger
  13. Have a girls day
  14. Create a self care routine
  15. Celebrate TEN years of blogging!!!
  16. Have no credit card debt

  19. Learn an everyday makeup routine
  20. Have a monthly date night
  21. Take family pictures!
  22. Meet a blogger friend in real life
  23. Focus on work-life balance
  24. Send birthday cards to friends and family via snail mail

  5. Bake apple crisp
  6. Pass out Halloween candy
  7. Enjoy Fall Fest at work

  9. Watch Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown
  10. Cozy up with a good book
  11. Eat fresh apple and pumpkin donuts
  12. Buy mums for our front porch
  13. Go on a weekend trip
  14. Take Oscar for a scenic fall walk
  15. Host a bonfire with our friends

Help Us Plan Our Trip To Rome!

Visiting Rome, Italy
Hey friends!

Brett and I are trying to plan a trip to Rome for this upcoming October! Neither of us have been and it is #1 on our bucket list.

I visited Venice for one day in 2011 and fell in love with the Italian culture but did not have enough time to truly explore. I have been wanting to visit Rome since 2003 when the Lizzie McGuire Movie first premiered.

Since we have never been to Rome we are in dire need of suggestions. Where to stay, eat, visit, etc.? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Our current plan is to visit all of the touristy places – Coliseum, Vatican, Trevi Fountain, etc. But we would love to know what else we should see!

Thanks! 🙂

London Bucket List!

London Bucket List // Study Abroad // www.lifeofhayley.com

Hey friends!

I am officially on spring break which means that I have the next 17 days off to travel and explore Europe with my friends! I am so excited!

With that said, I have been thinking a lot about the things that I still have to do before heading back to Michigan. There’s not enough time to get everything in London done which means that I will have to come back again! 😉

Here’s a few of the most important things that I want to do before I leave:

  • Portobello Market
  • Notting Hill
  • Windsor
  • Les Mis
  • Westfield Mall
  • Convent Garden
  • Natural History Museum
  • Victoria & Albert Museum
  • London Eye
  • Harrods’s
  • Oxford

Tomorrow I am leaving for Germany where I will be staying until April 8th! I probably will not be writing blog posts while I am away because I’m not sure if there will be Wi-Fi available! Follow my Instagram and Twitter to stay updated while I’m away! I am so excited to go explore Germany!!

Thanks for reading!! I will talk to you all in April 🙂

Life of Hayley Turns One!

One

Today Life of Hayley turns one! (Check out my first blog post here) In the beginning I posted sporadically with no goals or future in mind. I have grown to love blogging and have recently began to invest more time and energy into my posts. It really feels like I just started this blog when in reality I have been doing this for a year now….wow.

First of all, I would like to thank all of my loyal followers who have been with me from basically the beginning. I have learned so much from you and have gained inspiration from your posts. Thank you to all of my followers who put up with my rambling. I would also like to thank all of you reading this, even if you haven’t heard of me before. Every time my blog gets read it makes me so unbelievably happy because honestly this site feels like a part of me that I am sharing with the internet.

Life of Hayley has come a long way in only a year and I am so excited to watch it grow over the next years! I am thrilled to have come this far and can only hope that I can continue to blog and meet new people through this experience. I look forward to blogging about my experiences studying abroad in London and I hope that someone somewhere is helped by my story.

I love reading other blogs because it makes me feel like I actually know the writer, like I’m their friend and we are talking over coffee. Blogging is something that is so personal but it is important to share your story and your experiences with others. I’m happy to be a small part of the huge blogging community and would love to get more involved in the future!

The reason I started this blog was because I was anxious about turning twenty. I decided to create a “Twenty Five Before Twenty Five” list where I wrote down 25 things that I wanted to do before turning 25. Writing this list and blogging has already pushed me to do some of the things on this list such as riding in a hot air balloon and studying abroad.

Some of my favorite posts have been:

Thanks for your support over this last year! I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you and growing this blog even more!
