Hyde Park & Brighton

Hyde Park and Brighton

Hello again!

On Friday Alejandra and I set off for Hyde Park. It was such a nice day for a walk and we enjoyed seeing Marble Arch and walking along the water. It was really beautiful and so fun to just walk and talk with my friend.

That night we took the tube to London Bridge and then walked the short distance to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. It was really cold and windy but so worth it. The sun started to set and we were able to see Tower Bridge all lit up. We took s many pictures and just had a great time together.

My second weekend in London also featured the long awaited trip to Brighton. I mentioned in my last post that the day didn’t start off so great. However, I was determined to make the best of the day and thankfully I quickly made friends with a really nice girl also studying at Regent’s. I’m really grateful that I had someone with me that day.

Anyway, Brighton was as beautiful as I imagined it would be. I really hope that my friends and I can go back in the spring to spend a little time on the beach. We ate fish and chips for lunch and then just wandered around a bit before going on a guided audio tour of the Royal Pavilion.

After having a rough Saturday I decided that Sunday should be a slow and relaxing day. I haven’t had a relaxing Sunday in so long because back in Michigan I ALWAYS work on Sundays. It was amazing to sleep in and then have a lovely breakfast of fruit, yogurt, and a chocolate croissant with Alejandra.  Alee and I are in International Business Environment together and had a presentation due on Tuesday so we spent Sunday researching at the library.

After spending hours in the library I came back to my room and met with Hannah to book our tickets to see “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” which we planned to see on Wednesday. Then I did laundry and turned in early that night to prepare for the busy week ahead of me.
