We moved into our house in March of 2018 so this is technically our second spring. Last spring we were still trying to unpack and organize our belongings so I didn’t really do any spring cleaning. Plus, the previous owners of our house left it spotless when they moved out. I did a little cleaning before we unpacked but for the most part everything was ready to go.
This year I am already in the process of deep cleaning everything and re-organizing. My house isn’t clean all the time but I do love having everything super organized. I’d love to be one of those people with a clean house all the time.
I’ve been working on my spring cleaning list so I thought it would be fun to share and maybe give you some inspiration for your own spring cleaning!
- Clean out and vacuum both Cars
- Clean out the garage & shed
- Organize the main level guest room aka my “closet” room
- Clean out the storage room in the basement
- Rake the leaves in the backyard and bag them for spring pickup day
- Deep clean the basement entertainment area
- Paint both dressers and the desk
- Deep clean fridge/freezer
- Organize upstairs closet
- Organize the coat/cleaning closet
- Organize the pantry
- Sort items in the dining room hutch
- Organize and clean out the kitchen cabinets
- Move the furniture and sweep, mop, or vacuum underneath

Cleaning and organising is such a good feeling though, right?! ✨ I don’t know if it’s available in the US but Method’s Wild Rhubarb all purpose cleaner is the most beaaaautiful smell if you’re looking for something new 😍

Yes! The best feeling 🙂 We do have Method but I haven’t tried the Wild Rhubarb. I need to buy a new bottle soon so I’ll see if we have it! I love Method!

Oh my gosh, this is such a fun post idea!! Love it! I’m definitely OCD about keeping things tidy and clean lol so I’m always excited when it’s time for spring cleaning. I also basically do a deep cleaning every quarter but spring is a great time to really go through things and declutter in addition to cleaning. I never thought about adding in the cars, but that’s a great idea!!

Thank you so much! 🙂 I was always writing cleaning lists for my family when I was growing up. I’ve kept writing them now that I’m an adult with a home of my own. I love deep cleaning! I probably also do it once a quarter. It’s the extreme organizing that I really only do once a year. I’m pretty organized but when it comes to cleaning the storage room and things like that I don’t enjoy doing more than once per year. 🙂 Enjoy your spring cleaning!
